The study of the Old Testament confronts us with numerous challenges to our understanding. A structured approach to study, benefiting form the knowledge accumulated by scholars over the centuries can unravel some of the mystery, and the beauty of the scriptures! The diploma starts by looking at the first section of the Bible, and thus lays out the events and context that are central to the foundation of the people of Israel.

This diploma offers the opportunity to reflect on the prophets, those inspired by God, and who speak the words of the Lord and show how God has tried relentlessly to communicate with his people and draw them back to Himself. One could ask why all this relentless effort to draw his people back to Himself? Perhaps the Song of Songs, this short but unique book, this love story, can provide some clues?
