Experiences
Associate Professor of Religious Studies. Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin. Teaching undergraduate courses in World Religions, Medical Ethics, Preaching, Catholicism, and Mystical Theology. 2013 to present.
Promoter General of the Internet. A curial position for the Order of Preachers, reporting to the Master of the Order in Rome, responsible for coordinating internet projects of Dominicans around the world, developing new internet ministries, using the internet to foster closer ties and more collaboration among Dominicans, and teaching courses in web design. 1998 to 2000 and 2006 to 2012.
Interim Director of the Center for Dominican Studies. Ohio Dominican University, Columbus, Ohio. The Center provides opportunities for members of the University community to learn more deeply our Catholic and Dominican tradition of education and acts a liaison to the wider community on these issues. As interim director, I am responsible for all programmatic, personnel, and budgetary decisions of the Center, reporting directly to the university’s president, Dec. 2011 to present. As associate director, Aug. 2010 to Dec. 2011, I worked collaboratively with the director in these areas.

Teaching graduate level theology and philosophy courses, specializing in Catholic systematic theology and interreligious theology and philosophy. Senior advisor and technology consultant for two international non-governmental organizations, Dominicans for Justice and Peace (1998 to present) and Franciscans International (1998 to 2008), at their offices at the United Nations in Geneva.
Speaker and Fundraiser for Food For the Poor, an interdenominational Christian aid organization serving the poorest of the poor in the Caribbean and Latin America. 2000 to present.
Fulbright Scholar. Pursuing post-doctoral research into Tibetan Buddhism at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute, Boudhanath, Nepal under the auspices of a Fulbright student research grant. Researching gzhan stong views of the Buddha-Nature. 2005 to 2006.
Member of the Tenth East-West Spiritual Exchange sponsored by the European Monastic Interfaith Dialogue and the Zen Bunka Kenkyusho (Rinzaï Zen, Kyoto) in collaboration with the Somusho (Soto Zen), June 2005, Kyoto, Japan.
Internet Consultant. Teaching Internet design and development skills in strategic areas including emerging third world contexts and international human rights work. Courses taught in situ, involving extensive travel. 1996 to present.

Supervisor of VLSI Design Team, Evans and Sutherland Computer Corporation, Salt Lake City, Utah, 1985 to 1989. Responsible for directing a team of VLSI integrated circuit designers and consulting on new projects.
