PROGRESSIVE MATURITY AND THE TENACITY TO KEEP UP THE PHD DISSERTATION WORK

The second year is the year in which students are most likely to become discouraged. But it is important to follow your studies through to the end. There is light at the end of the tunnel and with determination and motivation, you will get there. One should believe in the progressive maturity that is taking place. Research takes time and a of in-depth work, but it leads to results which can then be shared. The issue at hand starts to simplify and one should seek to edit accordingly.

A CONFIRMATION TEST DURING THE DRAFTING OF YOUR PHD DISSERTATION

Halfway through the second year of the PhD studies, a confirmation test is organized. The continuation of the drafting of the work will either be accepted or not by the accompanying committee to avoid that the student ends up working in vain. The accompanying committee is made of the dissertation director and 2 other teacher-researchers.

PARTICIPATION IN UNIVERSITY EVENTS AND VALIDATION OF CREDITS

In addition to their personal research work, students participate in symposia, teach in certain conditions, organize academic events such as research seminars on their subject, and can therefore validate up to 60 of the required ECTS.
