Rector's letter for July 2025

18 july 2025
Dear students and colleagues,
Summer changes the way we experience time. Abraham Heschel speaks of the Sabbath as a cathedral in time, for time is not merely something that passes—it is a space to be shaped, inhabited, even danced.
We are, each in our own way, "builders of time".
To build time is to create rhythms: rhythms of focus, of work, of exchange… and above all, rhythms of rest, relaxation, and silence. These cycles shape our inner balance.
At Domuni, distance learning requires true discipline in managing one’s time—for both teachers and students. There is no bell to ring, no externally imposed schedule: each person must create their own rhythm, maintain it over time, take care of their motivation, and embrace the long journey of learning.
This also means allowing moments of pause, for to truly move forward, one must also know how to stop, to breathe… in order to begin again with renewed strength.
Wishing you all a restful and inspiring summer!
