[Episode 3] A Journey of Learning and Faith
By Anna Pingwe, alumna of Theology
When Giving Up Turned Into a New Beginning
“Just when I was about to give up, I found Domuni – and everything changed.”
I discovered Domuni while searching for an online university that best meets my needs. After a long search and almost giving up, I found Domuni University. To my relief, it offered the best program that suited me perfectly.
What stood out for me compared to other institutions was the ability for students to confidently choose their own pace when studying courses. The standard one-year study period is extended to two years, making it manageable for those who have busy schedules or other responsibilities.
Another important factor was the course fee. I found Domuni to be fairer and more accessible than many other universities I considered.
Learning With Both Freedom and Guidance
“Domuni gave me structure when I needed support, and freedom when I needed space.”
The academic content was generally fair. However, I found some courses overwhelming and difficult to understand, which made studying alone quite challenging at times.
Fortunately, the supervision I received was very supportive. Both of the mentors I worked with were responsive and quick to answer my questions, which helped a great deal.
What I truly appreciated was the course flexibility, which made it possible to adapt my studies to my lifestyle and existing commitments.
Lessons That Reached Beyond the Classroom
“This journey taught me to persevere, stay organized, and believe in myself.”
Domuni didn’t just train my mind—it shaped my way of being. I developed strong organizational and time management skills, which enabled me to complete my assignments on time while balancing multiple responsibilities, including work, social life, family, and personal commitments.
Studying independently taught me to be self-motivated and to take responsibility for my actions. I also became more resilient in facing obstacles and solving problems on my own, even without the support of fellow students. This included overcoming study-related challenges, dealing with a lack of resources such as books, managing less-than-expected results, addressing financial issues, and handling work-related difficulties.
By the end of my studies, I had gained real confidence in my academic abilities and realized that studying alone was not only possible—it was empowering.
These skills are essential in my daily life. Living and working with others requires good organization, effective time management, and a sense of responsibility. I also need self-motivation to inspire those around me. Resilience and perseverance are crucial for achieving my goal of acting with confidence in everything I do.
Becoming More Human Through Theology
“Theology helped me become more patient, more empathetic, and more present with others.”
My experience at Domuni has profoundly transformed the way I relate to others, especially the incredible women I work alongside. Through my Theology coursework, I developed a deeper understanding of patience—both with myself and with those around me.
This journey taught me to embrace the idea that God guides each of us, and this perspective brought me peace and acceptance. As a result, I’ve become less judgmental and more empathetic, which has allowed me to build richer, more meaningful relationships.
The values I’ve gained from this education have greatly improved the way I interact with people and have also empowered the women I support. Together, we’re building a community that is more understanding, encouraging, and humane.
If I were younger, I would pursue further studies and get a doctorate. But I think that time has passed for me, and I’m simply grateful to have completed the course I truly desired.
Sharing the Gift of Learning
“What I found at Domuni is too valuable not to share.”
I have already recommended Domuni to others. When I first started studying online, there was still a stigma surrounding this form of education. But things have changed. Today, many people actually prefer online learning—especially those who have family, work, or other personal commitments.
I’ve referred several individuals to Domuni and continue to speak with others who are interested in pursuing online studies there.
A Few Words for Those Who Will Follow
“Be present. Speak up. Domuni is not just for you—it’s for all of us.”
To future students, I would offer this advice: take your academic work seriously, and make sure to follow the university's rules and guidelines carefully. It is also important to engage actively with the forums. This is not optional—it’s a core part of the learning experience. Students are expected to interact regularly with one another on these platforms in order to create a dynamic, collaborative learning environment.
