Domuni and Nosta Aetate 4 : Rediscovering the Hebraic Roots of Christianity

Domuni Universitas is pleased to announce the launch of a new partnership with the NT4 association (Nostra Aetate 4). The organisation is dedicated to the dialogue between Jews and Christians.

NA4 promotes the (re)discovery of the Hebraic roots of Christianity. The team is run by fr Oliver Catel, op, dominican friar of the Ecole biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem, director Gad Barnéa, partner in the Bible in its Traditions programme and Sr Agnès Bruyère, one of our students who got her Master degree in December 2017 (Master Domuni/Bible in its Traditions).

"For many years, Domuni has been keen to provide this programme of initiation and deepening of the Hebraic roots of Christian tradition,” explains Sr Marie Monnet. Responding to the increasing interest from students and Christians in this topic, the executive director states that it is an “aid in the fight against a lack of culture that would contribute to extremism and exclusion. In a near future, Domuni and the NT4 would like to organise even longer study sessions, and of course, distance learning!”

Ein Karem

The first common project between Domuni and NT4 will take place in Ein Karem, a small town located near Jerusalem, from 1 to 10 August 2018. According to Christian tradition, Ein Karem is the place of the Visitation, where St John the Baptist spent his childhood. We invite you to 10 intense days of bilingual formation (French/English). The session is primarily open to Domuni students but everyone is welcome. You will soon be provided with the complete programme.

This academic session is credited.
